Wake Forest University - Department of Psychology

Researchers in the Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University are currently testing the effectiveness of an intervention program called SecondStory in a randomized controlled trial. We are looking for licensed therapists to act as paid online facilitators. SecondStory was designed to help individuals overcome challenging life events, decrease distress, and increase well-being and posttraumatic growth. It includes elements from positive psychology, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing, and is informed by the science of personality change. It will be delivered online to small groups (6 sessions over 6 weeks), with multiple cohorts running during spring, summer, and autumn 2021. Scheduling can be flexible to accommodate both the counselors’ and the participants’ needs. If this project sounds interesting, please contact us.
