About me: I am a clinical psychologist who just moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina about 3 years ago. I specialize in treating children and adolescents. I typically work with boys because these are the types of clients whom parents send my way, and I utilize a variety of treatment tools.
Given that the therapeutic alliance/relationship is the cornerstone of my treatment, I offer psychotherapeutic treatment that is tailored to meet the needs of boys and young men. These include outside sports, safe indoor sports and movement (playing catch, nerf basketball, etc), discussing favorite topics in detail (ex: video games, sports, etc.), play therapy, board & card games, and creating new games together with clients. These approaches have been very effective in helping boys feel comfortable with discussing their current struggles, and other sensitive topics which are the focus of treatment.
