About
About me: As a psychologist, I work with adults, college and graduate students, and older adolescents to help them live their lives more fully and authentically. Common presenting concerns include depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, adjustment difficulties, life transitions, sexuality and gender concerns, developmental trauma, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, and career dissatisfaction.
The core of my approach is establishing and maintaining a warm, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and supportive relationship with clients. I believe it's important to understand how significant relationships from the past shape how we think, feel, and behave in relation to others and ourselves in the present.
We'll identify themes in your relationships, assumptions you make about yourself and others, and coping styles you've developed in response to past experiences. With this information, we'll determine ways to build on your strengths, experiment with new and different coping strategies, and make meaningful changes.
In addition to therapeutic work, I also conduct psycho-educational assessments for children, adolescents, college and graduate students, and adults experiencing problems with attention, organization, and learning.
